Learn something new everyday! Buddies 32 rod has a Buick plant mated to a 2 speed th400, but with an odd 2 pin connector popping out of the lower case. Apparently for 3 years GM made a transmission that you could alter the converter stall rate with the flip of a switch!

variable pitch torque converter, i've seen a couple and it's kinda neat, just hella expensive to fix from what i hear.

got 2 of em for a '67 olds 442. they did not use a manual switch, though. it was an automatically controlled deal.

Works off of carb throttle kickdown! (My buddy had his wired onto a switch)

wire it to your break pedal, so you can foot break it and leave harder on the line.
