So I got the S10 down in SC.

I dont know what I am going to do with it.

Right now it doesnt have a motor or trans in it.

I have an LS1 Long Block(thanks to Matt), but I am not sure what to do with the truck.

Any ideas? it will be a streetable truck(some know my definition of streetable), but its mission is to go deep into the 9's

let me know what you think.

Sounds like you have a lot of work ahead of you with the dime. What year S10?

Deep into the 9's in the 1/4 will take some serious cash. You can build the motor for it but the suspension will take some work.

Our last build was LT1 in the Blazer from scratch. This go around we are upgrading the the LS based for street/strip. Reliability was a big issue with the LT1 for me.

If you have not already joined, check this site out www.s10racer.com They site will be having a meet at Bowman dragway (Dwayne's Fast Track) on March 25th and 26th. We are planning to be at that meet running the blazer.

If you have any questions along the way just ask.

i am kinda leaning towards a turbo with the LS1.

I already have the long block, but I have planned on running with a carb and a big n2o plate under it.

this is mostly going to be for racing where i "CAN" drive it to a cruise in

Right now this is what i am planning.

Engine
LS1 with a bunch of goodies in it
Edelbrock Victor Jr Carb intake
Holley carb(cfm depends on engine internals)

TH-350 RMVB, TB and Nitrous converter

9" rear(gears TBD)

Caltrac knock offs with coil over rear shocks and anti roll bar

Roll cage

Fuel cell in the back

this is just a basic idea.

my big hang ups are the Cam, carb size, gears and converter

most everything right now is disassembly and cleanup. the good news is that it is an base model 99 with manual locks and windows

I am basically going to remove everything that I dont need and box the frame in and strengthen it up really well.

it is in pretty good shape and just needs a coat of paint over the ugly ass green that the company painted it(Gregory pest control) lime green

other than that, I think that it should be set.

I really care about going fast not so much of the extra show car stuff.

I am going to splurge on the wheels though and go with some gold magnums with a gloss black paint job and some ghost flames(nothing too fancy though)
