Good neighborhood. The only issue I would see is that it is in the city of North Charleston for taxes and such.

Also - you may want to check the covenants about working on vehicles such as the project S10. They can get a little anal about work performed in driveways and such.

X2 on the covenants and restrictions. The citizens on patrol are nazi's in all the subdivisions.

Subdivisions ftl. This is the first one I lived in and it's going to be the last. Big peice of land and some form of a house is the way to go. Stay away from the nazi HOA shit.

you just need to pick the right HoA. It's a question you learn to ask. You buy your big piece of land, you plop your really nice house on it, then joe blow buys the lot next door and plops a trailer and a goat farm. Your property value goes to shit and because you don't have an HoA there's nothing you can do about it......

Don't get me wrong, HoA's are the devil, but to some extent they can be a necessary evil.

Please note that this is not an absolute and does not necessarily hold true for every given situation.

True. My HOA is actually pretty good. It keeps the trashy people on there toes. Most of the time our HOA doesn't enforce enough, though. I guess I just don't like being told what I can and can't do with my own property. I don't like living so close to anybody anymore. It was nice at first, but we don't talk or associate with anyone around us, we don't even want to.

Caitlin does love and live for yelling and cussing at people that try to step foot on our property. Now that's entertainment.

I hate subdivisions.

Find some land and build a house in unincorporated Berkeley or Dorchester county.

Great idea, Rob! I am a licensed builder and can build you a house if thats the way you decide to go.
