Electech will get you fixed up. it sounds like someone threw parts at it and never tuned it.

It was tuned probably 23k miles ago when the factory new LS1 was put in to replace the original that had an oil pump failure. The trans has been in for 5k miles. My whole drivetrain has pretty much been replaced with the exception surprisingly being the ten bolt which has 146k and is quiet as can be.
